I love this song! It reminds me of a book I read called "Continuous Atonement" by Brad Wilcox. (I highly recommend it) He brings up a great discussion about a scripture that says, "...for we know that it is by grace that we are saved after all we can do." As we look at the meaning of almost each word in this statement we can gain a much great er understanding of GRACE. Today I will focus on the WE. So let me retype that with a little explanation...
...for we know that it is by grace that WE (you and I) are saved after all WE (Christ and each of us) can do (together).
Robert L. Millet wrote: "In a word, we are incomplete, or partial, whereas Christ is whole, or complete. As I come unto Christ by covenant, we (Christ and I) are complete. I am unfinished; Christ is finished. Through relying alone upon the merits of 'the author and finisher of [my] faith' (Hebrews 12:2), I become finished, or fully formed. I am deeply imperfect; Christ is perfect. Together we are perfect. Those who come unto Christ become perfect in Him."
This understanding becomes a great source of comfort to me! I desire to show my love and gratitude to my beloved Savior by doing all I can to become closer to Him, and I can rest knowing that His grace is sufficent. He will stand by me as I place my trust in Him...and place my hand firmly in His...
Faultless
by Hilary Weeks
When the sun sets and another day is over
I think about the person I want to be
When I hold up a mirror to my life
Sometimes I don’t find who I was hoping to see
I made mistakes today and I’ll probably make mistakes tomorrow
I couldn't save myself no matter how I beg or borrow
I’m gonna need His Grace
On that day
On the Day of Grace through the Sinless One
My sins will be washed away and I’ll stand worthy
Only because He stands by me
With mercy and love without end
He will lift me so I’ll never fall again
And He’ll present me faultless,
Faultless before God
If my sins were like drops of water
And I tried to hold them with my hands closed tight
Some would slip through right past my fingers
I couldn't catch them all no matter how hard I tried
But there are hands that have my name forever written on them
The price was paid and not a single soul will be forgotten
As we receive His grace
Chorus
I made mistakes today and I’ll probably make mistakes tomorrow
I couldn't save myself No matter how I beg or borrow
I’m gonna need His Grace

GLORIOUS!
Today I was thinking about how much I love people! I thought about this song. I am learning more and more how everyone has a story. Everyone has opposition in their life, the happy & sad, the up & downs, the smooth, & the rough.... It all molds us into the people we are. We are all unique and have different perspectives, different ideas, different experiences... but we also have more in common than we realize.... a need to love and be loved... each individual is beautiful and has unique talents and abilities, something special to offer the world. We need to look for those gifts in each other and forget about the weaknesses that seem to get in the way. I think we also need to look for them in ourselves too.
I am so blessed to be surrounded by amazing people who bless my life and fill it with light and color! I love my family more than words can say. I love my friends, my neighbors and all the amazing people I meet! What a beautiful world!
Enjoy this song and the people in your life that make it glorious!
Glorious
Written by Stephanie Mabey

There are times when you might feel aimless
You can't see the places, where you belong
But you will find that there is a purpose
It's been there within you all along
And when you're near it
You can almost hear it
(Chorus)
It's like a symphony
Just keep listening
And pretty soon you'll start
To figure out your part
Everyone plays a piece
And there are melodies
In each one of us
Oh, it's glorious
You will know how
To let it ring out
As you discover who you are
Others around you will start to wake up
To the sounds that are in their hearts
It's so amazing
What we're all creating
Chorus
And as you feel the notes build
You will see
Chorus

Do You Have Room?
Before the New Year Begins and the Christmas decorations come down, I have one more song to share. Last night I sat to reflect on what would be my gift to Christ this year. How can I make more room for Him in my heart and life this year?
My heart is full to overflowing when I think of the many gifts He gives to me, a life full of love with amazing family and friends (old and new)! The greatest gift I have is the knowledge that He lives and because of His life, death, and resurrection, I have hope. The more I turn my life, heart and will over to Him, the happier I am. I found this great song this year and want to share it with anyone who will listen. When I listen to or sing sacred music, read scriptures, pray, visit sacred places, help others, or spend quality time with loved ones, I feel at peace. I feel at home. It's hard to explain. I believe it is the love of God I feel. His perfect love that I knew so very personally before I began this journey here on Earth. When I feel this joy and love, I wish I could share it with everyone. So I hope this new year some of you will let me share some more music that touches my heart. Maybe it will bring some peace to you too...
This world has so much unrest, sorrow, anger, and pain. Yet the light of Christ can heal all wounds and bring peace to all. If only the world could make room for Him... He's at the door, we just have to let Him in.
Do You Have Room?
They journeyed far, a weary pair;
They sought for shelter from the cold night air.
Some place where she could lay her head,
Where she could give her Babe a quiet bed.
Was there no room? No corner there?
In all the town a spot someone could spare?
Was there no soul come to their aid?
A stable bare was where the family stayed.
Do you have room for the Savior? And do you seek Him anew?
Have you a place for the One who lived and died for you?
Are you as humble as a shepherd boy, or as wise as men of old?
Would you have come that night? Would you have sought the light?
Do you have room?
A star arose, a wondrous light,
A sign from God -- this was the holy night,
And yet so few would go to see
The Babe who came to rescue you and me.
This Child divine is now a King.
The gift of life to all the world He brings,
And all mankind He saves from doom,
But on that night, for Him, there was no room.
Do you have room for the Savior? And do you seek Him anew?
Have you a place for the One who lived and died for you?
Are you as humble as a shepherd boy, or as wise as men of old?
Would you have come that night? Would you have sought the light?
Do you have room?
Will you come tonight? Will you seek the light?
Do you have room?

Walking in the Footsteps of Christ - Day 25
Merry Christmas! I sure have enjoyed this and hope you have too. My love for the Savior has increased as I have kept Him in my daily thoughts. I hope you know He loves you!
With Love,

Day 25
Footsteps: Jesus was born in the meridian of time, thus giving an ideal vantage point from which to look both backward and forward. For the last 24 days you have stood, as it were, in Bethlehem gazing in both directions. You have heard the Master's voice in pre-mortal councils. You have seen him suffer, die and rise again. You have watched him return triumphant in the clouds of heaven. Now you are ready to focus with greater joy on that moment when heaven and earth became one.
“And it came to pass that I saw the heavens open; and an angel came down and stood before me; and he said unto me: Nephi, what beholdest thou? And I said unto him: A virgin, most beautiful and fair above all other virgins…And he said unto me: Behold, the virgin whom thou seest is the mother of the Son of God, after the manner of the flesh. And it came to pass that I beheld that she was carried away in the Spirit; and after she had been carried away in the Spirit for the space of a time the angel spake unto me, saying: Look! And I looked and beheld the virgin again, bearing a child in her arms. And the angel said unto me: Behold the Lamb of God, yea, even the son of the Eternal Father!” (1 Nephi 11:14-21)
If you haven’t yet, read the account of Christ’s birth found in Luke chapters 1 & 2.
Walking: Give someone a great big hug and tell them how much you love them!

Song: Never a Better Hero by Kenneth Cope
Never A Better Hero
Making His home with the lonely, spending His days with the poor
Bringing hope their hearts, giving man a new start with His cure
but not all would recieve of his offereing
some even planned his decease
and yet he couldn't forsake
those whose lives he might save
so he refused to leave
never a better hero
never a truer name
hoping to save us
by taking our pain in his hands
never a greater compassion
never a wasted day
not one regret
true to the end
There was never a better way
now, he knew his life would be shortened
but never murmured a word of complaint
he had in mind
a much greater design
and it helped him through the pain
he gave man power to take him
knowing his death would bring life
and it was no surprise
there was love in his eyes
when he died
never a better hero
never a truer name
hoping to save us
by taking our pain in his hands
never a greater compassion
never a wasted day
not one regret
true to the end
there was never a better way
but death was not the end
for he would live again
never a better hero
never a truer name
giving us all that he had
hoping to save us
by taking our pain in his hands
never a greater compassion
never a wasted day
he showed the grave
not one regret
true to the end
there was never a better way
all that he did
follow and live
there'll be never a better way
Walking in the Footsteps of Christ - Day 24
Day 24
Footsteps: Jesus came to Bethlehem a humble babe, born in a lowly stable with no great fanfare or acclaim. He was despised of men and was crucified by an angry mob. But one day not too far away, he will come again – and has promised to return to earth in great power, majesty and glory. Then heaven and earth will be reconciled and the King and Kings will reign Forever and ever.
For as the lightening cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be...And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory...but of that day and hour knoweth no man, no not even the angels of heaven, but my father only...watch therefore, for ye know not the hour your Lord doth come." (Matt 24:27, 29-30, 36, 42)
Walking: In all you do and say today, come from a place with Christ-like love.

Walking in the Footsteps of Christ - Day 23
Day 23
Footsteps: Jesus is no mere figure from the past, captive in the pages of scripture. He lives today. He holds the universe to its course and guides the work of His servants on the earth.
“And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of Him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of Him: That He lives! For we saw Him, even on the right hand of God; and we heard the voice bearing record that He is the Only Begotten of the Father—That by Him, and through Him, and of Him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God.” (D&C 76:22-24)
Walking: Today, bear your testimony out loud (even if it's just to yourself in the mirror!)
Song: I Know That My Redeemer Lives
I Know That My Redeemer Lives
I know that my Redeemer lives.
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, he lives, who once was dead.
He lives, my ever-living Head.
He lives to bless me with his love.
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed.
He lives to bless in time of need.
He lives to grant me rich supply.
He lives to guide me with his eye.
He lives to comfort me when faint.
He lives to hear my soul's complaint.
He lives to silence all my fears.
He lives to wipe away my tears.
He lives to calm my troubled heart.
He lives all blessings to impart.
He lives, my kind, wise heav'nly Friend.
He lives and loves me to the end.
He lives, and while he lives, I'll sing.
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.
He lives and grants me daily breath.
He lives, and I shall conquer death.
He lives my mansion to prepare.
He lives to bring me safely there.
He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
"I know that my Redeemer lives!"
He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.

Walking in the Footsteps of Christ - Day 22
Day 22
Footsteps: As the holidays get busier and busier; we become involved in so many things. Running errands, attending parties, buying presents, choosing wrapping paper and ribbons seem to take up much of our time and focus. It’s easy to become caught up in material things. This year let us remember where our lives ought to be centered and who we are to put in the center of our lives.
“I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” (John 6:35) “And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.” (John 10:4) “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” (John 11:25) “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
Walking: Take the time to give an act of service to someone today. Shovel a walk, visit a neighbor, walk a dog…Pray for the Spirit to guide you where you are needed.
Song: Coming Home by Shawna Edwards
Coming Home
A hundred paths that lead to a thousand broken dreams
A million ways to trade your soul for lesser things
The only path I see that is paved with love and peace
The one true way that leads to Him is everything I need
He is hope when a journey begins
He is strength in the wind
He is faith when my courage wears thin
He is rest when I'm weary and worn
He's the place where I'm loved and I'm known
When I come unto Christ it feels like I'm coming home
A hundred thoughts to share and a thousand whispered prayers
A million ways to feel His love and know He's there
So trusting I will go whether long or hard the road
That He will walk each step with me is all I need to know
Chorus
I won't waste a day chasing trinkets and noise
I will walk in His light and hear only His voice
Chorus
Coming Home
I Am Coming Home
